Plant of the Week 14/6/2009: Camellia japonica 'Bob Hope'
I mentioned in
this week's Plant of the Week article
that Camellia japonica 'Bob Hope'
is a strong compact grower to about 3m tall but only 1m wide
so he is the perfect shrub for a narrow screen.
Here 'Bob Hope' has been clipped to 1.8m tall and stands along a sleeve-fence (sodegaki 袖垣). Both 'Bob Hope' and the sleeve-fence combine to form a screen enclosing a lantern and water-basin.
